We are very excited to share this video with you. Ever since we first started working with the new Afidus camera the zoom and macro capabilities have been jaw dropping. Never before has content like this been so easy to capture with a single camera. Sure you could use a DSLR and macro lens, but this represents a week of work, thousands of shutter actuations, DSLR rigs are expensive and shutters wear out. Other time lapse cameras require pricy and difficult to focus optional lenses. With the Afidus, get the camera close, grab the zoom slider, bring it all the way in and tap to precisely focus with the ease of full screen preview on your phone. I had been trying to capture this content for a couple of weeks. Come to find out, there are few flowers which dramatically bloom this time of year. Thanks to Diana @sargentsgardens in #RochMN for recommending Asiatic Lilies which worked perfectly, although each bloom represents at least a good 18+ hours. This is not a problem for the Afidus camera, I captured with 10, 20 and 30 second intervals and didn’t change the batteries the entire time.
